Other People's Stuff!

What's so great about other people's anime toys, you may ask. Well you may ask! (1) Easy to dust. (2) Doesn't show up on your Mastercard statement. (3) People send you faboo pictures! Groovy, baby!

Korean Rose of Versailles dolls
These photos were taken by Anna Clardy. This version of Lady Oscar and Marie Antoinette are from Mimi World, a Korean company that seems to specialized in knockoffs. Here's a close up of the dolls. There is actually a third doll pictured on the back of the box.
More Korean Rose of Versailles dolls
The rest of the photos are from my buddy, Corky Visminas. (Note that in both cases, as Corky notes, the mirrors are just too damned big for the dolls!) These dolls and Anna's set appear to be in identical packaging, but the dolls are wearing quite different costumes, as is apparent from this view of Corky's dolls loose. Here is another view of the dolls so you can get a better look at Lady Oscar's big floppy hat. Corky notes that while Marie's hat is pinned on, Oscar's is glued in place. Boy, it's like being sentenced to be a bridesmaid for life!
Maeter
Wow! This Galaxy Express 999 gal was made by Popy. Corky notes that she's missing her big floppy hat. See what happens when it's not glued down! Here's a better look at Maeter's face.
Sailor Moon Hina Matsuri dolls
CUUUUTE! Doesn't Sailor Moon look coy behind that fan? Here's a picture of the dolls in box.
Arale
Arale is strongest in the world! Although my friend ellen insists that this Dr. Slump character is actually my alter ego, I don't believe the resemblance is that strong. I stopped coloring my hair purple back in the 80's! This doll was made by Popy. Here's a picture of Arale in box, (love the little travel bag) and a picture of the loose doll.
Another Arale
Corky calls this one, "Big scary Arale."
Akira
Corky's comment on this Medicom doll: "Akira doing what he does best, looking scary!"
Charles
This Takara doll is one of Licca-chan's many buddies. Love that outfit! If the head mold looks familiar, it's because it's the same one used for Jenny's buddy, Kisara.
Sega/Tect Rei
Kotobukiya Rei
It's Rei-o-rama! The Kotobukiya Rei figure has actually stolen one of Brenda Breyer's outfits.
Bob Saget
Scary, isn't it?

Thanks again to Corky and Anna for sending along these great pictures!!!
