More stuff?
Yep, more stuff. It's the most wonderful time of the year, and the most wonderful thing of all: presents for me. Let's see what's piling up on my dining room table, shall we?
Who's that girl?
- Franken-Pullip
- My cover girl this month is a fiendish confabulation of a Pullip Moon head and a 60 cm Obitsu body. (Supplies provided by Rudi Teruel, and assembly by the doll doctor, Sher Rhein.) She's wearing some 60 cm scale clothes by Azone, and she is the most completely fabulous doll I've ever owned.
Licca, Licca, Licca-chan
- Cosmo Lube Licca in white
- Don't know quite why I've gotten addicted to Cosmo Lube dolls. Oil change Barbie, anyone? This is the newest doll in the series. Appropriately, this gal is dressed like a motorist, complete with racy scarf, hat and goggles. She has nice highlights in her hair.
- Cosmo Lube Licca in blue
- I think this was one of the first, if not the first, Cosmo Lube gal. The amusing thing is that she's got Cosmo Lube, in English, printed on her dress in several places.
- Prima Ham Licca
- From automobile maintenance, to fine meat byproducts, Licca has it all! This gal has oodles and oodles and oodles of curly hair, and even better, a little piggy on her t-shirt. Kinda like if they made a Licca-chan for Tonde Buurin.
- Manics Licca
- Can it be? Our fave girlie doll on Prozac? Could be why she's been looking so glassy eyed
- Castle Licca with buns
- Ha! I have no memory of purchasing this doll. Must've been mesmerized by the Princess Leia 'do.
Dolls with really big heads
- Pullip Carol
- I wish a merry Christmas! The newest doll from Jun Planning has ungrammatical holiday greetings
for us all. She looks quite seasonal, decked out with fur trim and jingle bells and post-eggnogg bloodshot eyes (hey, I've looked worse after a New Year's bash).
- Pullip Bouquet
- Her name's Bouquet. She's got tons of blond hair, attractive purple eyes (just like Liz Taylor!), and--surprise--a bouquet!!
- Pullip Squall
- Her name's Squall She's got tons of black hair, attractive purple eyes (just like Liz Taylor!), and--surprise--a basket!! (!?!) A booklet inside the box shows the three previous dolls in the first wave of the series, as well as the two current dolls. Little known fact: there was actually going to be a third doll, besides Squall and Bouquet, added to this wave.
- Bunny Blythe
- This is what's evidently the first in a series of of minis dressed as disturbingly cute, fuzzy animals.
- Love Mission Blythe
- Coolness! This Blythe is based on some kind of HK live action series about a lady cop. She comes with plenty of cool stuff (including handcuffs!), and has the usual scary Blythe stare.
Volks, and other such-like, fancy pants dollies
- Volks Claire Redfield
- Neat doll (with neat weaponry) based on the Biohazard video game. Whether by coincidence or design, Azone has recently issued an insanely detailed 11" scale Biohazard outfit.
- Volks Magical Gjinalu
- One of my famous "dolls with jester hats" collecting theme. I like her unusual coloring scheme (pink hair and green eyes).
- Aoki Chihaya edition Minako
- ...Or as I like to call her, Minako with hat. I've been chasing after this doll for a ridiculously long time due to my cute hat fetish.
- Volks Showroom Angel in blue
- An especially cute (IMHO) entry in Volks' Showroom Angel series, this gal has huge blue eyes and matching huge blue hair.
- Volks Darkmare
- A newish doll in Volks' "I got a scythe, an I'm gonna use it!" sweepstakes. As it turns out, there is some assembly required in the scythe department (the instructions are helpfully written in Japanese). Lovely blue hair, however.
- Volks Lounie
- I bought this cool Volks mini partly for her great albino coloring (white hair and red eyes), but mostly for her hypno-glasses. Imagine my surprise when I learned after paying umpteen zillion yen for the doll, you gotta paint the glasses yourself!
