Help! My hair is eating my head!

I'm usually the first in line when Takara passes out the weird-haired dolls, but sometimes the Mother Company just goes too far. The following are examples of dolls having a scary hair day.

Totoco China Kisara

A Woman on the Brink of a Hair Breakdown, this limited Kisara dressed in a cool chinese get-up, sports oodles and oodles of silver hair. I was expecting Platinum Dream Kisara to look somewhat like this, and was roundly disappointed by the blond who ended up in the line.

Brunette Takara Bako Kisara in Lavender Swimsuit

Takara Bako offered a couple of limited Kisara dolls to its mail order customers a few months back. The other Kisara sports long lavendar hair, the same color as her swimsuit, and is one of my fave dolls. This one.... I'm still not sure what to think about this one. Her hair looks a little better when it's sprung (and I mean literally sprung) from the box. Maybe they should have added sideboards?

Club Cats Neo Licca

Even Licca-chan wants to get into the act. To quote the back of the box, "She is different from usual Licca. She grown up a little bit and leads the fashion. The other Licca is imagined and a new bland for the year 2000." They only ever made 6 different dolls in this series, so I guess the Revolution didn't get too far. These dolls had great hair and makeup, and fun packaging, but lacked cool accessories. The Club Cats Licca pictured on the box has an elaborate 'fro, but if you look closely, you can see this doll actually has a black knit hat to crop up her elaborate curly 'do.

...Or was that Raph? I can never tell 'em apart, anyways, he looks to me more like a Greg Brady doll with those elaborate plaid pants. His hair doesn't look especially vicious, but I just threw him in here 'cause we're talkin' 'fro's.

A3/A3 Jenny

The undisputed Jenny Monster Truck of Hairdo's belongs to this doll designed by ARAKAWA Shinichiro. The doll's got a pretty neat outfit, with a knit sweater and very cool socks. But the crowning glory is the cubic meters of blond 'fro.

Oops, I gotta get to the mailbox place before it closes....
