Star Wars: the Action Figure Archive
"Kick ass!" as Cartman might say. This new collectibles book by Eimei
Takeda and Seiji Takahashi is probably the best action figure book
ever. Don't believe me? Take a look at some sample pages.
Fun facts: ISBN 4-87366-512-4. The prices is listed as 2667 yen, or
about 26 bucks. This is listed as Neko Mook 12. A "mook," as far as I
can tell, is a fancy square-bound magazine or periodical. Would love to
see the other mooks in this series.
- Early bird kit
- Features pictures of telescoping Luke, Ben and Vader.
- Star Wars Boba Fett
- Including, need I add, rocketfett.
- POTF2 Boba Fett
- This book even makes POTF2 look good! Imagine, there's a page like
this for every single action figure in the lines, old and new!
- B-Wing
- This is from the "but wait--there's more" section in the back: every
single ship, playset, and accessory, shot from every conceivable angle.
- Unproduced prototypes
- There's even a section on protos.
Other Star Wars from Japan
- Darth Vader tin toy
- I usually steer clear from that limited, numbered crap, but this guy
is cool! Here's a shot of the old Dark Lord of Sith loose. There is also a C3PO in
this series, which my charming but forgetful husband seems to have
misplaced in storage.
- Star Wars UFO catchers
- Awwww! It's the cuuuute little Darf Bader and Chewie wif his widdle
fangs. My darling compulsive husband hasn't taken them out of the plastic
yet, so here's a glimpse at the other
side.
