- Medicom Real Action
Heroes Condor Joe
- OK, admit it, this is the one you've been waiting for! The
sculpting on these faces is incredible. Just look at Joe's kisser. You could
park a truck in that chin cleft!
- Medicom Real Action Hero
Ken
- Here is Eagle Ken, the other Medicom doll that Gus so cleverly
hid from me while I was scanning last night!
- Fijiko Mine
- Va-va-voom! This doll is actually a weird cross between a Medicom
doll and a model. Her arms and head move, but her lower body is kinda
stuck in a sexy pose. Cool Emma Peel type outfit, though.
- Captain Harlock
- What would an anime toy
site be without a little Medicom? And what better doll than that
interplanetary scoundrel, the good Captain himself? This is a great doll,
very posable (it uses the "Combat Joe" body), and complete with real metal
gun and sword.
- Devilman
- "Devilman, Devilman/Does whatever a Devil can/Look out!/Here comes the
Devilman!" OK, so that wasn't really the theme song of the 70's
Devilman cartoon (not that there even was a 70's Devilman TV
cartoon), but wouldn't that have been cool? This doll is from Medicom,
and Mark (the guy who sold him to me) wasn't quite sure why it says
"limited edition" on the box. But anyway, I got him on the very same day
I got my GI Jane doll. Coincidence? I think not! UPDATE: Corky tells
me there was a 70's Devilman cartoon. With a really dumb theme.
The catch: you had to live in Japan to watch it. Ah, well, I love it
when a plan comes together!
- Blue Devilman
- And what better way to round out a holiday season than to complete my
Devilman collection? This is the kooky version
from the TV show. As I've said before, these Medicom dolls are wonderful,
and very, very articulate, built on Hasbro Japan's Combat Joe body. This guy's going to
make a great Jenny "Date from Hell." Thankyou thankyou to Dr. Tongue's
3-D House of Collectible Toys for all my Devilmen.
