- Takara Mink Barbie
- How do you know you've finally lost it? How about, when you have to
prepare for inclement weather, you zip up your Eddie Bauer
windbreaker. But your Barbie doll? Barbie's got a mink
coat!!! How twisted is that? This was a super-special limited
edition from Takara that was made right near the end of their
Barbie line, just before they lost the license. She comes with her
own plexiglass case. Here's some views:
- Loose Mink Barbie
- The back of the doll
- The dress she's wearing
underneath
- Mink Barbie's face
- Candy Pop Barbie
- From the old days, while Jenny was still masquerading as Barbie.
This doll was pictured in one of Glenn Mandeville's articles a while back,
and I've been looking for her ever since. I just love her confident
stance in the box.
- Candy Pop Barbie booklet
- This is the booklet that was packaged with Candy Pop Barbie. Page 2. Ooo, love that plaid coat,
Ken. :-) Page 3. Wouldn't you
just love to have a time machine set for 1985?

Takara Barbie lingere
set
- As we all know, before there was Jenny, there was Takara Barbie, and
boy, did that gal know how to dress! This is a little lingere set made for Takara
Barbie--you may be able to see that she even has a teeny-tiny
English-Japanese dictionary! The back of the box shows Jenny
wearing various outfit combinations. I love the photography on this old
packaging--Jenny and her friends almost look like real girls!
