Some general anime info

Anime Web Turnpike. One of the most comprehensive listings of anime resources on the web. Somebody there must like toys, since this site was a Weekly Pick!

Barry's Temple of Godzilla. The Big G.

Hitoshi Doi's Anime Page. Anything you want to know about magical girls series. Plus the mother of all Sailor Moon pages: this one has it all, character profiles, images, even synopses of the original Japanese TV shows! Even better, Hitoshi has the biggest collection of UFO catchers in the known universe.

Psychommu Gaijin. Hey, Minneapolis anime fans have an online 'zine, and they actually dig my site!

Sailor Moon FAQ Ken Arromdee's page is good for hours and hours of reading fun. It even has the real Japanese lyrics to that annoying Sailor Moon theme. Not sure where it's moved to though--anybody know?

Save Our Sailors For the latest in the continuing saga of Sailor Moon's adventures in syndication.

Images and collections

Biscuit's Club Great online club for yakking about our fave fashion doll, Jenny.

Biscuit's House. Helene has recently taken down most of her Jenny pages, but this page still packs a ton of info about her new passion, Super Dollfies.

Bootleg Toys: The Undiscovered Playthings. This page devoted to bootleg toys has a great selection of twisted anime items, including the ubiquitous Sailor Moon, DBZ, Evangelion, and Pokemon.

Cool Japanese Toys. An online 'zine devoted to everybody's favorite topic. Check out the In the News section for gossip about all the groovy new Medicoms.

Darla's Home Page. This site mostly focuses on Jenny, but you'll also see an anime toy or three, and a page devoted to my guy, Tom. Darla also has instructions on how to join the Casual Jenny mailing list, highly recommended for Japanese doll fanatics of all stripes.

Endollphin Machine. I've included this Japanese doll page as much for its content as for it's extraordinary links page. Got an afternoon to waste? :-)

The Gatchaman Goodies Pages. An ever-expanding universe of Gatcha-stuff, and the most comprehensive collection of images of Gatchaman merchandise I've found on the web.

GRRRL Bands Classified. I definitely think if my dolls were real girls, they'd start a band. This page is a free space for girls who want to hook up with other musicians.

Janet's World. Check out Janet's Jenny collection, and then stay around a while to see some cool Tammy and family dolls.

Jasper-MKR. Kimberly's shrine to all things Magic Knight Rayearth, includes and incredible amount of merchandise, and some great custom costumes.

Sailor Moon Toys and Cels Too. Can you stand even more Sailor Moon? Of course you can! And be sure to take a look at the "Usagi's Fashion House" section for some cool customs.

The Selling of a Moon Princess. Kane's page is subtitled, A Look at the Toys and Merchandising of Sailor Moon. And it's way cool, including an essay on the marketing of Sailor Moon, plus it's totally better organized than my page.

Sher's Homepage. The doll doctor is in! Sher's pages include not only faboo pix of Jenny and her endless army of friends, but answers to the eternal questions, what to do when Barbie has a "bad hair day."

Terry's Toy Page. Terry's Medicom collection rocks!

ToyboxDX. Hey, how could I resist a site with a gallery called "Box fetish?" This site features a lot of Japanese action figures.

Yu's Cutie Dolls. This amazing site, in Japanese and English, features Japanese dolls from the 60's and 70's. Yu was featured in a recent issue of Figure Oh magazine.

Dealers and commercial links

OK, since people have been asking me for centuries where to buy this stuff, I've finally relented and put in a dealers section. This is not an all-encompassing list, but it is folks I, or friends of mine, have had good luck with.

Azone Purveyors of cool dolls with insanely detailed outfits. Can't buy anything here, but it's great to check out the new stuff.

Bandai Japan. Well, to be honest, I don't think you can buy anything here, but it's gotta be one of the totally cutest commercial pages out there!

Celga My agent for Yahoo! Japan auctions (see below). They are absolutely terrific to work with.

Darkharbor Games. Featuring Noriko's Anime, a great place to find UFO catchers, pencil boards, and etc.

David Hammon Dolls Japan. David is the best--very friendly and knowledgable. Better still, this site is fun to cruise even if you're not in a buying mood (which is tough, after getting a look at all his dolls). He's recently been adding links to his fabulous Barbie Bazaar articles about Jenny and her pals.

Dr. Tongue's 3D House of Collectible Toys. At last, the Pacific Northwest's best collectible toy shop is on the web. Mark always has an interesting selection of Godzilla toys and Medicoms, as well as funky stuff like cereal prizes and Pez.

Doll Shopping in Japan Please be prepared to drool heavily as you check out Lenore's narratives of going Jenny shopping in Japan.

Frill Frill Minako's site. Another Jenny dealer who's been wonderful to deal with. Minako works full time as well as buying dolls, so you can't always expect a quick email reply. She has some of the best doll prices on the net.

Hobby Link Japan. Another site that's just fun to cruise, even if you don't think you want to buy anything (yeah, right). :-) They often have images of new stuff up here before the Japanese hobby magazines make it over. One quibble: it's not always so easy to tell what you're ordering, ie, whether it's a doll, a toy, or a model.

Hobby Search This is another Japanese site that specializes in model kits, although they always seem to have a strong selection of "Hobby dolls" at pretty good prices.

Jennyland Helina's page. I've purchased Jenny dolls from her for a number of years now, and she's absolutely the greatest. Neat feature: she allows you to pre-order certain exclusive dolls.

JustBe Toys If you're anywhere near Portland, Oregon, these guys recently moved to a new, much bigger shop, and it's tons of fun!

Kanoko.com. One of the best spots on the web to buy Jenny. Kanoko is great!

Moon Kingdom Products. Another great site to order all those nifty Irwin Sailor Moon items you can only get in Canada.

Nichibei Anime Club. Nichibei still runs its auctions through eBay.

Noix de Rome. Oh boy! More cool Japanese stuff! And guess what? Noix has recently added a section where folks in the US can order selected stuff online. Noix de Rome is a Japanese shop that carries exclusive custom dolls.

Pietro Muscara Collectibles. Wanna know where to get those neato Italian Sailor Moon dolls? Take a peek at Pietro's page.

R&D Collectibles. One of my favorite-est Jenny dealers, Rudi (formerly of In the Spotlight in the Bay area), has moved his shop to Taiwan! And he's getting in some amazing anime dolls. Check it out!

Rachel's Addiction Includes the Biscuit's Club FAQ. Be sure to check out entries concerning her many travels in Japan.

Rising Sun Creations. Glad to see this web page back up. This San Diego-based outfit stocks a lot of figure models, and occasionally, an interesting anime doll or two.

Splash Page Comics. When he's not writing magazine articles, or adding more cool items to his Marmalade Boy collection, Sean somehow finds time to run a comic shop! Some great deals here on Japanese toys.

Takara Toys. Sigh! Takara's little spot on the web, includes directions to the Licca Castle.

Yahoo Japan Auctions Refuge for the die-hards. WARNING: Extremely addictive. I've given you the link to the fashion dolls section. Play around a bit to find Jenny, Licca, etc. I'd also advise you that if you'd like to bid, unless you are completely fluent in Japanese, that you go through an agent, like Celga.com (see above).
