- Why is there no price list? Are you a dealer?
- No, I'm not a dealer, just a very crazy collector.
- Do you ever sell your stuff?
- Rarely. Once in a while, when I'm cleaning out a closet, or I just
run out of space, I'll eBay a bit of stuff. For instance, my husband just
cleared out a bit of his Gatchaman stuff. But generally, 95% of the time,
the stuff you see on the page is not for sale. I don't even own a big
chunk of stuff on the page, since it's images folks have sent me, or
pictures from magazines.
- Well, where do I buy all this neat stuff???
- It depends. If it's a newer toy, made by an American company (like
the Irwin Sailor Moon dolls or Trendmasters Cardcaptors dolls), you can
just wander down to your local Toys R Us, or go online to a place like
Amazon.com, your source for books, music, and now, Sailor Moon! For newer
Japanese toys, you'll either have to visit your local anime shop (mine is
Anime Kingdom), go to a con, or contact a dealer like Anime Palace or
Hobby Link Japan. Older stuff is more iffy. You either have to keep
scoping places like eBay and Yahoo! auctions, or get to know some friends
who also collect, who may be willing to trade for stuff.
- I have something you don't have!
- I'm not surprised! :-)
- ....And, I want to send you the image.
- Fantastic! Just a couple of things to remember. The biggest thing
is, it's nice to tell me beforehand, so I can make sure my mailbox
is cleared out and your attachment won't bounce back to you.
- I want to use one of your images.
- Again, that's great, just a couple things to remember. Once again,
it's really nice to ask first. Secondly, it's super-important to
ask if you're going to use the image to sell something, like in an
eBay auction. Using an image of my stuff to sell your stuff could be
considered fraud, unless you're very careful to tell people that it's NOT
an image of your stuff. Seriously, one of the things that makes me very
unpleasant if happening upon an image from my page being used, without my
consent, in an ebay auction.
